1:5Bywhomwehavereceivedgraceandtleship，forobediencetothefaithamongallnations，forhisname:

1:6AmongwhomareyealsothecalledofJesusChrist:

1:7ToallthatbeinRome，belovedofGod，calledtobesaints:GracetoyouandpeacefromGodourFather，andtheLordJesusChrist.

1:8First，IthankmyGodthroughJesusChristforyouall，thatyourfaithisspokenofthroughoutthewholeworld.

1:9ForGodismywitness，whomIservewithmyspiritinthegospelofhisSon，thatwithoutceasingImakementionofyoualwaysinmyprayers;

1:10Makingrequest，ifbyanymeansnowatlengthImighthaveaprosperousjourneybythewillofGodtoeuntoyou.

1:11ForIlongtoseeyou，thatImayimpartuntoyousomespiritualgift，totheendyemaybeestablished;

1:12Thatis，thatImaybefortedtogetherwithyoubythemutualfaithbothofyouandme.

1:13NowIwouldnothaveyouignorant，brethren，thatoftentimesIpurposedtoeuntoyou，（butwaslethitherto，）thatImighthavesomefruitamongyoualso，evenasamongotherGentiles.

1:14IamdebtorbothtotheGreeks，andtotheBarbarians;bothtothewise，andtotheunwise.

1:15So，asmuchasinmeis，IamreadytopreachthegospeltoyouthatareatRomealso.

1:16ForIamnotashamedofthegospelofChrist:foritisthepowerofGoduntosalvationtoeveryonethatbelieveth;totheJewfirst，andalsototheGreek.

1:17ForthereinistherighteousnessofGodrevealedfromfaithtofaith:asitiswritten，Thejustshalllivebyfaith.

1:18ForthewrathofGodisrevealedfromheavenagainstallungodlinessandunrighteousnessofmen，whoholdthetruthinunrighteousness;

1:19BecausethatwhichmaybeknownofGodismanifestinthem;forGodhathshewedituntothe

1:20Fortheinvisiblethingsofhimfromthecreationoftheworldareclearlyseen，beingunderstoodbythethingsthataremade，evenhiseternalpowerandGodhead;sothattheyarewithoutexcuse:

1:21Becausethat，whentheyknewGod，theyglorifiedhimnotasGod，neitherwerethankful;butbecamevainintheirimaginations，andtheirfoolishheartwasdarkened.

1:22Professingthemselvestobewise，theybecamefools，

1:23AndchangedthegloryoftheuncorruptibleGodintoanimagemadeliketocorruptibleman，andtobirds，andfourfootedbeasts，andcreepingthings.

1:24WhereforeGodalsogavethemuptouncleannessthroughthelustsoftheirownhearts，todishonourtheirownbodiesbetweenthemselves:

1:25WhochangedthetruthofGodintoalie，andworshippedandservedthecreaturemorethantheCreator，whoisblessedforever.Amen.

1:26ForthiscauseGodgavethemupuntovileaffections:foreventheirwomendidchangethenaturaluseintothatwhichisagainstnature:

1:27Andlikewisealsothemen，leavingthenaturaluseofthewoman，burnedintheirlustonetowardanother;menwithmenworkingthatwhichisunseemly，andreceivinginthemselvesthatrepenceoftheirerrorwhichwasmeet.

1:28AndevenastheydidnotliketoretainGodintheirknowledge，Godgavethemovertoareprobatemind，todothosethingswhicharenotconvenient;

1:29Beingfilledwithallunrighteousness，fornication，wickedness，covetousness，maliciousness;fullofenvy，murder，debate，deceit，malignity;whisperers，

1:30Backbiters，hatersofGod，despiteful，proud，boasters，inventorsofevilthings，disobedienttoparents，

1:31Withoutunderstanding，covenantbreakers，withoutnaturalaffection，implacable，unmerciful:

1:32WhoknowingthejudgmentofGod，thattheywhichmitsuchthingsareworthyofdeath，notonlydothesame，buthavepleasureinthemthatdothe

2:1Thereforethouartinexcusable，Oman，whosoeverthouartthatjudgest:forwhereinthoujudgestanother，thoucondemnestthyself;forthouthatjudgestdoestthesamethings.

2:2ButwearesurethatthejudgmentofGodisaccordingtotruthagainstthemwhichmitsuchthings.

2:3Andthinkestthouthis，Oman，thatjudgestthemwhichdosuchthings，anddoestthesame，thatthoushaltescapethejudgmentofGod?

2:4Ordespisestthoutherichesofhisgoodnessandforbearanceandlongsuffering;notknowingthatthegoodnessofGodleadeththeetorepentance?
